Sharon Timmerman
Sharon Kay Timmerman, 64, of rural Mediapolis, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at her daughter's home in Wapello.

Born Aug. 28,1943, in Morning Sun, she was the daughter of James Ament and Thelma Marlette Ruble. On April 3, 1962, she married Richard Timmerman in Oquawka, Ill.

Mrs. Timmerman worked at Thatcher Plastics in Muscatine for 19 years. She attended Muscatine Community College where she earned a degree in accounting. She graduated from Wapello High School in 1962. She was a member of the former Church of God in Wapello and attended the Solid Rock Baptist Church in Wapello. She was a member of Wapello Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching baseball and collecting antiques.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Celia Hartsock of Wapello; three sons, Allen Timmerman of Wapello, Richard Timmerman of Mediapolis and Matthew Timmerman of Keithsburg, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and three brothers, Ronald Ruble of Colorado Springs, Colo., Kenneth Ruble of Hondo, Texas, and Gary Ruble of Burlington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Friday at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

The funeral for Mrs. Timmerman will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Hooks officiating. Burial will be in Edwards Cemetery in Oakville.

A memorial has been established for Wapello VFW and VFW Auxiliary.
