Clayton Huss
Clayton C. Huss, 64, of rural Media, Ill., died at 6:20 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, at his home.

Born June 22, 1943, in Gladstone, Ill., he was the son of Edward Wesley and Helen Hunter Huss. On March 18, 1966, he married Marilyn Magee in Biggsville, Ill.

Mr. Huss worked for Hudson Oil Co. and Admiral Corp. in Galesburg, Ill., Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in Middletown, and retired from Federal Mogul in April 2007. He served in the Army. He was Baptist.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Carl Huss of Media; one daughter, Penny Hunter of New London, Minn.; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Ed Huss of Burlington and Lyle Huss of Lomax, Ill.; and four sisters, Glenola Lee, Gail Furnald and Georgia Kenney, all of Oquawka, Ill., and Geneva Stewart of West Burlington.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Stronghurst where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

The funeral for Mr. Huss will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Carman Cemetery, Carman, Ill., with the Rev. Mark Baker officiating.

A memorial has been established.
