Mrs. Ruth E. Springsteen

MORNING SUN - Mrs. Ruth E. Springsteen, 84, died Thursday, Oct. 16, at Morning Sun Manor.

She was born June 8, 1891, at Elrick, the daughter of William and Mary Peck Loper. She married Frank E. Springsteen on Jan. 26, 1910. He died earlier.

Surviving: two sons, Frank, Wapello, and Kenneth, Morning Sun; five daughters, Mrs. Eulalie Bryant and Mrs. Mildred Wright, both of Morning Sun, Mrs. Genevieve Crist and Mrs. Vera Jameson, both of Eugene, Ore., and Mrs. Viola Williamson, Pleasant Hill,Ore.; three sisters, Mrs. Wilma Swafford and Mrs. Elsie Baxter, both of Oakville, and Mrs. Laura Walker, Burlington; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday, Pierce funeral home, Rev. David Holmes; Fairview cemetery at Newport.
