Anna Mae Mohler
Anna Mae Amanda Mohler, 91, of Burlington, died at 10:40 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born April 24, 1916, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Chris and Ella Egbert Miller. On July 19, 1941, she married Robert J. Mohler in Burlington. He died March 13, 1991.

Mrs. Mohler was a homemaker. Growing up on a farm, she worked with her father driving a team of horses in the fields. She attended Eureka Country School and graduated from Burlington High School. She was a member of Burlington Seventh-day Adventist Church and a former member of Danville and West Hill United Methodist Churches. She was active in ladies church circles and in Dorcas (community services). She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, living on a farm, and she loved animals.

Survivors include one son, Larry J. Mohler of rural Danville; two daughters, Pauline Briear of rural Burlington and Linda Beckman of rural Danville; one grandson; and two great-grandsons.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

The funeral for Mrs. Mohler will be at 2 p.m. today at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. John Howells officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.

A memorial has been established for Seventh-day Adventist Church.
