Robert Orel "Rob" Steiner, age 27, of rural Oakville, Iowa, died Monday, November 19, 2007, at the Great River Medical Center at West Burlington. The son of Tom and JoAnn Schmidgall Steiner, he was born November 1, 1980, at Burlington, Iowa.

Rob graduated from Mediapolis High School in 1999 and received a degree in Agriculture Sales and Service from Southeastern Community College at West Burlington. He was a farmer and cattleman and a carpenter. He was able to repair about anything.

Rob loved the Lord first and loved his family especially his nieces and nephew. He had a love for the outdoors. Rob loved life and lived it to the fullest.

He is survived by his parents, Tom and JoAnn Steiner of Oakville; his twin brother, Randy and Shayla Steiner of Mediapolis; three sisters, Karen and Brent Eberhardt of Sperry, Laura and Trent Kuntz of Oakville, and Ann Steiner of Oakville; his younger brother, Joel Steiner of Oakville; six nieces and a nephew; and his maternal grandparents, H.H. and Marion Schmidgall of Mediapolis. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Orel and Rose Steiner in whose home he was living.

The funeral ceremony for Rob Steiner will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, November 23, 2007, at the Apostolic Christian Church at Oakville with Ministers of the Church officiating. Burial will follow at the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery.

The family will meet friends from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday at the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home at Mediapolis.

A memorial fund has been established.
