Darrell W. Johnson, 63, of Mount Pleasant, died Saturday, July 9, 2005, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Born Sept. 21, 1941, in Danville, he was the son of William F. and Lois Herron Johnson. On May 9, 1970, he married Judith Goodman in Danville.
Mr. Johnson farmed in the Danville area until moving to Mount Pleasant. He also mowed lawns.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Gayle Johnson and Donna Johnson, both of Mount Pleasant; three grandchildren; and six sisters, Patricia Higdon of West Burlington, Janice Brissey of New London, Carolyn Johnson of Mediapolis, Kathleen Volmer of Hillsboro and Marilyn Graham and Cheryl Cline, both of Burlington.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant.
The graveside service for Mr. Johnson will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established.
