Reefie Callaway

Reefie Martin Callaway, 53, of 910 S. 12th, died at 3:55 a.m. Monday at Burlington hospital. He had been ill for the past two years.

Born near Sperry, Sept. 1, 1905, he was the son of Reeves and Mary Kingsted Callaway. He was a veteran of army services in World War II. Callaway was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are two sisters, Eola and Viola Callaway, both of Burlington, with whom he had made his home, an uncle and two aunts, and several cousins.

His parents died previously.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Prugh's chapel, the Rev. S.B. Ricker officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
