Wilbur Winegard

Word has been received here of the death of Wilbur C. Winegard, 68, of Waterloo, a former Burlington resident. He died Wednesday morning after an illness of several weeks.

He had been employed by John Deere Tractor Co., at Waterloo, for the past 28 years, retiring MAy 23 of this year.

He was born May 23, 1888, in Osgood, Ind., the son of Lewis and Lenni Hewitt Winegard.

Surviving are his wife, the former Aletha Jones; three daughters, Mrs. Veroqua Garwood, Vinton, Mrs. Doris Shore and Mrs. Helen Fahyer, both of Waterloo; a sister, Mrs. Harley Brockway and a brother, Clark L. Winegard, Burlington; eight grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Friday afternoon in Waterloo.
