Frances Smith

NEW LONDON - Frances Smith, 82, died in Burlington Medical Center Friday, Feb. 8.

She was born July 7, 1902, to Allen and Cora Lee Lusk Miller, at Mediapolis, where she married Howard E. Smith on Nov. 15, 1921; he died April 18, 1981.

Mrs. Smith was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, OES, Patience Circle, Areme Club, and Senior Citizens.

Surviving: Son, H.Noble Smith, Geneseo, Ill.; daughter Phyllis Swedenberg, Indianapolis; sister, June Norton, Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren; three great-granchildren.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday, United Methodist Church, the Rev. Herbert Gould and the Rev. Arthur Brent; Trinity Cemetery.
An OES service will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Elliot Chapel, where memorials have been established for the New London Methodist Church and the OES Scholarship Fund.
