Gary Houston

Gary Alan Houston, 56, of Burlington died Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, at his home.

Born April 1, 1951, in Burlington, he was the son of Clifford Clarence Houston and Rita Ann McLaughlin Houston Smith.

Mr. Houston was a former teacher and coach at Notre Dame High School and later a private business owner for 20 years. He was a 1970 graduate of Notre Dame High School. He was a graduate of the University of Iowa with a degree in psychology.

Survivors include one sister, Vickie Rios of Burlington; one brother, Terry Houston of Florida; nieces; and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be no visitation. He has been cremated.

The memorial funeral service for Mr. Houston will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Patrick Hilgendorf officiating. Inurnment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
