Mrs. Linda Beckman

Mrs. Linda Marie Beckman, 63, of Prairie Grove died Monday afternoon in Mercy hospital, after a brief illness.

She was born July 18, 1891, in Flint River township, the daughter of Charles and Christina Wischmeier Breuer. She was married to Walter Beckman on May 4, 1910, at Salem's Lutheran church.

The survivors include her husband; two children, Mrs. Hershel Liles of Route 2, Burlington, and Melvin C. Beckman of Burlington. Other survivors are one granddaughter; two sisters, Mrs. Adina Stigge of Prairie Grove and Mrs Rhoda Sleeter of Iron Mountain, Mich.; three brothers, Fred Breuer of Wapello Road, Burlington; Elmer Breuer of Route 3, Burlington and Clarence Breuer of Spring Grove, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Prugh's chapel. The Rev. William Heintzig will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park.
