Karl Warren MehaffyMORNING SUN - Karl Warren Mehaffy, 28, of rural Morning Sun, died Friday morning as a result of a farm accident while mowing a field on his family farm.
He was born Feb. 13, 1957, in Burlington to John T. and Eleanor Burge Mehaffy.
He graduated from Mediapolis High School in 1975. Karl farmed with his father. He was a member of the Living Word Church, Kalona.
Survivng: his parents, two sisters, Ellen Johnston, Richmond and Mary C. Hughes, Coco Beach, Fla., one brother, Mark, Knoxville, Tenn. and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Talmage Mehaffy, Morning Sun.
Committal services 1:30 p.m., Sunday. Shiloh Cemetery, Kalona.
