George Moser

George "Junior" R. Moser, 61, of Mediapolis, died at 4:02 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, in Mediapolis.

Born June 1, 1944, in Burlington, he was the son of George R. and Laura A. York Moser. On March 23, 1968, he married Carolyn M. Hollenbeck in Burlington.

Mr. Moser was a mechanic for Wal–Mart transportation.

He was of the Methodist faith. He was a Vietnam War Army veteran. He enjoyed hunting, vegetable gardening, bird watching, liked to farm and was an animal lover.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Pam Tisor of Oakville, Brandi Young of Burlington and Mindy Gerling and Carrie Moser, both of Mediapolis; seven grandchildren; four brothers, Richard Moser of Palmer, Texas and Jim Moser, Delbert Moser and Jake Moser, all of Burlington; three sisters, Georgia Belle Hulett of Mediapolis, Ruth Seitz of Burlington and Alice Paschal of Roseville, Ill.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Prugh's Chapel.

The graveside committal service for Mr. Moser will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Kossuth Cemetery in Mediapolis, with the Rev. Dean Graber officiating.

Memorials have been established for Great River Hospice and Kingston Methodist Church.
