Arthur T. Howe

MEDIAPOLIS - Arthur Thomas Howe, 91, Mediapolis, Rt.1, died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 12, at Bethesda Care Center in Mediapolis.

He was born Jan. 5, 1894, in Des Moines County, to Thomas E. and Mary Frances Tee Howe. He married Ethel Brockway Oct. 28, 1915, at West Burlington.

He was a retired farmer and had worked at Burlington Basket Co. for 10 years.

Surviving; his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Pauline Gerst, Columbus Junction, and BettyMae Ballard, Mt. Pleasant; two sons, Marion D., Mediapolis, Rt 1 and Thomas H., Aurora, Ill., 18 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday, Fry Funeral Chapel, Rev. Harold Werley, Kossuth Cemetery. A memorial in Kingston Methodist Church has been established.
