Mary Ann Green
Mary Ann Marshall Green, 63, of Burlington, died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002, at her home.
Born April 12, 1939, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Oliver James and Ethel Drinkall Marshall. She married Donald Dean Willis. He preceded her in death. She later married Jerry A. Phillips. In July 1979, she married Marcus L. Green.
Mrs. Green worked at Sylvania, Service Motor Sales, National Research Bureau, Iowa Army Ammunition Plant and Burlington Basket Co.
She was a 1957 graduate of Burlington High School. She was of the Christian faith. She was a member of Women of the Moose and Eagles Women's Auxiliary, both in Burlington. She loved playing bingo and putting jigsaw puzzles together.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Kermit Willis of Fort Madison and Roy Phillips of Council Bluffs; one daughter, Jeri Yoder of Burlington; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Hultgren of West Burlington and Wilma Fullhart of Wever; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother-in-law.
Visitation will begin after 8 a.m. today at Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The funeral for Mrs. Green will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Tyrone Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Cemetery.
A memorial has been established.
