Marjorie Bernhart

Marjorie Blanche Bernhart, 70, of 117 S. Melrose St., died at 957 a.m. Monday, July 22, 1996, at Burlington Medical Center.

Born Nov. 13, 1925, in Mediapolis, she was the daughter of Oliver and Ethel Drinkall Marshall. She married Glen Bernhart Nov. 25, 1944, in Burlington. He died Feb. 4, 1964.

She was a 1943 graduate of Mediapolis High School.

Mrs. Bernhart had worked at Sylvania and IRC for several years and was a salesperson at Donutland for 15 years.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, VFW Auxiliary and Burlington Gymnastics.

Survivors include three sons, Terry Bernhart and Gene Bernhart, both of Burlington, and Jim Bernhart of Wichita, Kan.; four daughters, Sonda Blanco, Bonnie Henderson, and Judy Huntington, all of Burlington, and Janet Murphy of Carman, Ill.; three sisters, Doris Hultgren of West Burlington, Wilma Fullhart of Wever and Mary Green of Burlington; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one great-grandson.

Visitation will begin after 8 a.m. today at Lunning Chapel, with the family receiving friends from 7 to 830 p.m.

The funeral for Mrs. Bernhart will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. David Rogula officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
