Arthur Grupe

Arthur A. Grupe, 95, of Eagan, Minn., formerly of rural Sperry, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 1997.

Born in May 1902, in Des Moines County, he was the son of Henry and Emma Grupe. He married Pearl Wischmeier July 2, 1925. She preceded him in death.

He farmed in the Sperry area until 1989.

Survivors include his daughter, Lorraine Byers, of Eagan, Minn.; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by two daughters, his parents and three brothers.

Visitation will be from 930 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Mediapolis.

The funeral for Mr. Grupe will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hagele and Honts Funeral Home. Burial will be in Old Stone Cemetery, Sperry.
