NEW LONDON - Mrs. J.B. Calloway, 92, died at the Kennedy nursing home, Mount Pleasant, at 4 p.m. Jan. 25. She had been a resident of the nursing home for the past 3 years.

Finetta Mae Brown, daughter of David and Elizabeth Gallagher Brown, was born at Sperry on July 17, 1863. On Nov. 20, 1887, she was married to James Benton* Calloway at Pleasant Grove. She was a member of the Presbyterian church.

Survivng are her husband, now 95 years old, and two sons and a daughter, O.L. and David R. Calloway and Mrs. Elizabeth Shelledy, all of New London.

Also survivng are nine grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Five brothers and four sisters died previously.

Last rites will be held at the Elliot chapel at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. E.D.Byrd, pastor of the Presbyterian church, will officiate and burial will be in the Burge cemetery.
