Frances Cook

Frances E. Allen Cook, 85, of Danville, died at 906 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, 1996, at Burlington Medical Center.

Born Jan. 28, 1911, in Danville, she was the daughter of Frank and Alice Humphrey Allen. On Nov. 24, 1932, she married Kenneth Willard Cook Sr. in Nashua. He died Nov. 13, 1991.

Mrs. Cook was a registered nurse for over 40 years, retiring in 1973.

She was a member of Danville United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, P.E.O. and TTT. She was a graduate of New London High School and a 1932 graduate of Burlington Hospital School of Nursing.

Survivors include one son, Kenneth W. Cook Jr. of Sun Lakes, Ariz.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Mary Dodds of Danville.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Monday at Elliott Chapel in New London, where the family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m.

The funeral for Mrs. Cook will be 1030 a.m. Tuesday at Elliott Chapel, with the Rev. Shirley Hoffmann officiating. Burial will be in Jaggar Cemetery in Danville.
