BROWN, DEFOREST

My brick wall ancestor is
Joseph Deforest Brown.
He shows up on paper in 1895 on his wedding certificate to Ida Belle Merchant in Yamhill, Oregon.
After a lot of effort, I tried every trick. I ordered his children's birth and death certificates and of course, the last one I ordered actually had a birthplace! Forestville, Iowa!
An estimated birth year of 1867.
I cannot find his parents' names anywhere.
I have some theories of Uri Brown and Adeline Deforest but that has been fruitless so far.

Any ideas for a birth record or marriage certificate for parents etc.
Anything!
