EDGEWOOD, YANKEE SETTLEMENT

Hello, my name is Bart Hamlett and I was born and raised in Edgewood, Iowa. I have been collecting anf gathering photos, postcards, memorabilia, stories and anything and everything Edgewood, Iowa related for 40 years. We now have a group of people organized and we have got the ball rolling on a museum in Edgewood. We have a building and hope to have it refurbished and open soon. We are looking for any old photos, postcards, store promos, pens/pencils, ashtrays, newspapers, lighters, dishes, and/or just about anything that was from or about Edgewood or Yankee Settlement ( as it was known before it was called Edgewood ) 1850's thru 2000's. Most stores gave away items, calendars, hot pads, pens/pencils, yard sticks, fly swatters, tape measures, lighters? Also, any photos, family pics, gatherings, pics that show a house or business maybe even in the background, school, parades, accidents, fires? We would love to get a copy and we will pay for the copies as well. You may think it is not worth passing on, but drop me a note and I will let you know. I am sure there are some old scrapbooks out there, boxes with pictures, postcards, check out those junk drawers, attics, basements, old trunks?
