Rose E. Kirsch Graff, 91, died Friday, April 9, 2004, in Mercy Hospital, Dyersville, after a short illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville. Burial: St. Francis Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Kramer Funeral Home, with a parish Scripture service at 5 p.m.

Mrs. Graff was born April 20, 1912, in New Vienna, the daughter of Louis and Josephine Schwers Pape. She married Edmund T. Kirsch on Nov. 24, 1938. He died in 1963. On July 27, 1974, Rose married Peter N. Graff. He preceded her in death in 1989. Rose was a homemaker. She was a volunteer quilter, a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and a member of the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary.

Survivors include a daughter, Grace (Robert) Leigh of Dyersville; a son, Fred (Jeanne) Kirsch of Golden Valley, Minn.; two stepchildren, Paul Graff of Independence and Joyce Jones of Portsmouth, Va.; seven grandchildren, Alan, Jay and Rob Leigh, Lisa Peterson, Gina Lukan and Mike and Jon Kirsch; eight stepgrandchildren, Mary Moothart, Karen
