DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Suzanne M. Keane, 76, of Sun City West, Ariz., formerly of Dyersville, died Sunday, March 4, 2007.

Memorial services were held March 8 in Sun City West. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a scripture service at 4:30 p.m. Graveside memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Cemetery Chapel, Dyersville.

She was born on March 5, 1930, in Dubuque, daughter of George J. and Laura Helbing. She married John Keane on Dec. 27, 1952. As the wife of a military pilot, they lived in many cities prior to settling in Dyersville to raise their family.

She was a lifelong homemaker and a secretary for the Western Dubuque School District for 11 years.

Upon retiring in Arizona, she became a volunteer for the past seven years for the Del Webb Hospital, working in the admitting and registration departments.

She enjoyed traveling and playing games with friends.

Surviving are three daughters, Nancy Kara (Keith) Kiedinger, of Cornelius, N.C., Barbara (Gary) Dillman, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Laura (Ted) Mandelkorn, of North Bend, Wash.; and a son, Thomas (Vicki) Keane, of Peoria, Ariz. She was the proud grandmother of five grandchildren, Alex Kiedinger, Sean Dillman, T.J. and Jack Mandelkorn and Jessi Keane.

She was preceded in death by a son, Robert; her husband, John; her parents; and her brother, George H. Helbing.

Donations in her honor, may be given to Hospice of Arizona and The American Cancer Society.
