By 1880 Edmund and Salissa Scoggins were living in Mill Creek, Morgan Co., Missouri. The Scoggins family had left Iowa by 1856 and settled in Moissuri. In 1856 Edmund purchased land through the Fayette office in Morgan Co., Missouri. The 1880 Morgan Co. Census says Edmund was born in South Carolina.

I would suggest that you might look in Morgan Co., Missouri for a biography and or obituary for Edmund Scoggins that might take you bact to South Carolina.
