The Delhi-Monitor contains an obituary notice of Mr. Charles O. Wing, who died at Sand Springs, of consumption, on the 8th inst., aged thirty years, lacking 5 days. Mr. Wing was born in Michigan, and reared and educated in St. Lawrence County, N. Y. He came to Sand Springs in 1869 and engaged in the mercantile business. Gifted with more than ordinary ability and possessing a character of sterling integrity, he soon won his way to the hearts of the people of that community, and required a reputation for honesty and uprightness in all his dealing with his fellow man. He had been an invalid for several years, but ever bore his ills patiently and trustingly, looking hopefully forward to a release from pain, which came only with death. As the moment of his dissolution approached, he comforted his weeping relations with the assurance that he should reach a safe haven in the life beyond, and then, passed peacefully and quietly away, leaving a devoted wife and three children, and a large circle of friends to mourn his early demise.
