Funeral services were at the Gill funeral home Tuesday at 2 p.m. for William Harlan Barclay, 64, a resident of Coffin's Grove township, Delaware county, Ia., for 29 years, whose death occurred suddenly at his home west of Manchester Sunday. Burial at Masonville: son of the late George and Martha Crawford Barclay, Mr. Barclay was born Nov. 25, 1884, in DeWitt county, Illinois; received schooling at Champaign, Ill., and came to this locality as a youth; was married in Manchester, Ia., Mar. 25, 1912, to Fern Lee; was a member of the Methodist church and of the IOOF lodge; survivors include his widow of Manchester, one daughter, Dorothy Barclay, and one son, Donald Barclay, both of Manchester; two sisters, Mrs. Leo Moroney of Masonville, Ia., and Miss Elsie Barclay, of Manchester; and one brother, O.R. Barclay, also of this city; two brothers, John and Herbert Barclay, and one sister, Mrs. Edna Roff, preceded Mr. Barclay in death.
