Mrs. Frank H. Loomis passed peacefully away Sunday evening, October 14th. Hattie R., daughter of William and Jane Robinson was born April 29, 1873, on the old farm south of Earlville. She attended the country schools until she was fifteen years of age, she then attended the Earlville schools for two years, after which she attended the Epworth Seminary for one year. On January 1st, 1896 she was united in marriage to Mr. Frank H. Loomis. To their union four children were born, three sons and one daughter. The eldest son and daughter died in early childhood. Mrs. Loomis’s mother died April 3, 1885, and her father on January 15, 1916.

She united with the Methodist Episcopal Church in her young girlhood and remained a member of the same until her death. On Sunday evening she passed quietly away while surrounded by her loved ones. Her loss will be keenly felt. Also she is survived by her husband, two sons, Henry Dean and William Dale, four sisters and one brother; the Misses Nellie and Elizabeth Robinson Mrs. G. Morris and Mrs. Alex Young and Charles W. Robinson. She also leaves to mourn her loss a wide circle of friends. The funeral services were conducted by her pastor Rev. A. M. McIntosh and were held in the Methodist Church Wednesday afternoon, and were attended by a large number of sorrowing of friends who had learned to love her for her many kind deeds. The interment was made in Fairview Cemetery. the heartfelt sympathy is extended to the bereaved family by the entire community.
