The funeral of Mrs. Isaac Shielder, who died March 18th, was held Thursday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church. the services were conducted by the pastor, Rev. W. H. Ensign. Ann Victoria Brelsford was born in Chesterford, England , February 12th, 1845, her parents moved to Edgerton, Wisconsin. She afterwards came to Iowa and taught school near Winthrop. In July, 1866, she married Isaac Shielder. To them were born five children, Mrs. Inez Bent, Ernest, Mable, Winifred and Archie. The family moved to this vicinity in 1886. Mr. Shielder passed away a year ago last Christmas and Winifred in April. Mrs. Shielder united with the Methodist Church when 20 years old , and during her years of suffering and trust and faith was a comfort to her as it was to others. Her children have been untiring in their tender care for her.
