SAMUEL S. IVES

Samuel S. Ives, one of the well-known citizens of Delaware County, passed away at his home in Dundee on the evening of June 5th, 1917, following an illness of nearly two years. Mr. Ives was born in Richland Township, Delaware County, May 23rd, 1855, and was a resident of the county all of his life.

Funeral services were held in Dundee on June 8th, the services being conducted by the Rev. C. K. Hudson, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church in Manchester. Mr. Ives was united in marriage with Miss Ada L. Thompson, on May 23rd, 1876. He is survived by three children-Albert of Canada, Erwin and Wayne B. Ives, of Dundee. He also leaves to mourn his death, one brother, Homer Ives of Greeley, and one sister, Mrs. Lydia Fox, of Billings, Montana.
