HARRIET JANET STIMSON

Harriet Janet Stimson, daughter of Jason and Maryette Stimson, was born near Winnebago, Winnebago County, Illinois, and April 29th, 1864. While yet a baby she came with her parents to Manchester, and moved to a farm in Prairie Township where she lived continuously until December, 1919, when she moved with her sister Clara to a farm near Stuttgart, Arkansas, where she passed away Saturday evening September 24th, 1921, at the age of 57 years, 5 months, and 25 days.

She leaves to mourn her death three brothers and sisters; Milton J.; Mariam Lyman, of Kalispell, Montana; George E., of Belgrade, Montana; and Clara J. Newman, of Stuttgart, Ark.; and Frank E. Stimson of Monticello, and many other relatives and friends.

She lived a quiet, unassuming life, helpful to others in all ways possible to her. She will be very kindly remembered by all who knew her.

The remains were brought to Manchester Tuesday night and interment is being made in Oakland Cemetery this afternoon. Rev. Frank J. Moore has charge of the services.
