DIES AT NEARLY 104 YEARS

Our correspond at Colesburg gives the following account of the death of George Coonrod, who passed away on January 18th, 1921, at his daughter’s home near Colesburg.

George Coonrod was born in Pennsylvania February 11, 1817, and passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George Lane, east of town January 18, 1921, aged 103 years, 11 months and 7 days. The family moved here in the early day, and his father passed away several years ago at the age of 112 years. His wife preceded him in death thirteen years ago. Surviving are one brother, John Coonrod, four daughters, Mrs. Hoisington, Mrs. Ryan, Mrs. George Lane and Mrs. Alonzo Lane, fifteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Rev. W. Minor Lemen had charge of the funeral services, which were held from the M. E. Church Wednesday. Burial will be made in Oak Hill Cemetery.
