Funeral services for Mr. George W. Taylor who died at the home of his son, Mr. J. A. Taylor, north of Manchester, Wednesday, were held at the M. E. Church in Earlville, Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. L. D. Stubbs. Internment was made beside his wife in Fairview Cemetery. George Washington Taylor was born in Terre Haute, Indiana, March 25, 1834. On February 17th, 1859, he was united in marriage to Miss Sarah Ann Cronk of Janesville, Wisconsin. Two children were born to the union, one dying in infancy. His wife preceded him in death on April 1st, 1919. He leaves to mourn his death one son J. A. Taylor of Manchester, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Taylor was an honest an industrious man held in high esteem by his friends and passed to his reward at the age of 87 years, 9 months and six days.
