Deborah Domeyer, 37, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, in Jones Regional Medical Center, Anamosa, after a long battle and complications with cancer. Services: 11 a.m. Friday, St. John's Catholic Church, Delhi, by the Rev. John Kremer. Burial: St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, with a parish Scripture service at 4 p.m. Friends may also call after 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
Deborah was born Dec. 17, 1968, in Monticello, the daughter of Paul and Diane (Oberbroeckling) Domeyer. She was a 1987 graduate of Maquoketa Valley High School and attended Loras College. Debbie loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and enjoyed helping and volunteering at Johnston Elementary School in Hopkinton. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan.
Survivors include her five brothers, Keith (Kris) Domeyer of Aurora, Kurt (Jane) Domeyer of Fairbank, Dewey (Jeannie) Domeyer and Chuck (Jennifer) Domeyer, both of Delhi, and Allan (Amanda) Domeyer of Delaware; five sisters, Lynn (Todd) Moser of Colesburg, Janet (Jim) Fiedler of Cambridge, Wis., Bonnie (Jerry) Thompson of Hopkinton, and Christy (Terry) Wegmann and Laurie Domeyer, all of Delaware; 27 nieces and nephews; five stepnieces and stepnephews; a great-niece; her grandfather, Alois Oberbroeckling; her godparents, Jack and Shirley Domeyer; and her godchild, Adam Domeyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a niece, Holly Domeyer; and her grandparents, Andy and Frances Domeyer and Dorothy Oberbroeckling.
