Glen Chapman, 77, of Manchester passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at Regional Medical Center, Manchester following a sudden illness.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremations Services in Manchester. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2014 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Earlville.

Glen was born November 6, 1936 in Anamosa, the son of Clarence and Myrtle (Parsons) Chapman. On January 28, 1958, he was united in marriage to Monica Lemmer in Manchester. They were married for 56 years. Glen worked in a factory for 20 years and then went to his true love of farming. He loved his animals and was content to stay in the back 40 with them.

Glen is survived by his wife, Monica; siblings, Vern Chapman, Verl Chapman, Denny Chapman, and Lester Chapman all of Manchester, Lyle Chapman, Lenard Chapman, and Harold Chapman all of Center Point.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Mike Chapman in 1975; and a sister, Alberta Hopkins.
