Lois D. Dabroski, 85, of St. Petersburg, Florida, and formerly of Earlville, died Monday May 30, 2005 in Florida after a brief illness.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2005 at the Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Earlville. Friends may call from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday and for one hour before services on Saturday. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Earlville.

Lois was born February 19, 1920 in Greeley, the daughter of Ernest A. and Bertha F. (Salow) Gurke. She graduated from Greeley High School in 1938. Lois attended beauty school in Beloit, Wisconsin and worked as a beauty operator in Rockford, Illinois. She then graduated from the Illinois Business Institute. On August 8, 1944 Lois was united in marriage to John Dabroski in St. Louis, Missouri. The couple moved to Earlville in the early 1950?s. Lois was a homemaker and later worked as a secretary for Farm Service in Earlville. In October of 1978, Lois & John retired to St. Petersburg, Florida. John died February 24, 1987.

Lois was an active member of Garden of Peace Lutheran Church in St. Petersburg, Florida and Immanuel Lutheran Church in Earlville. She belonged to the Fifty+ group, enjoyed crafts, gardening, flowers and was a Tampa Bay baseball fan.

Lois is survived by twin sons, Dennis E. (Georgette) Dabroski of Clearwater, Florida and Douglas G. (Karen) Dabroski of Earlville; five grandchildren, Suzanne (James) DeKay, and Alexis, Jason (Molly), Megan and Kelli Dabroski.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest & Bertha Gurke; her husband, John Dabroski; a sister, Velda Gurke; and an infant son, John Ernest Dabroski.
