Leola A. Ingles, 83, of 3716 Second Ave. SW, died Wednesday, May 11, 1994, in Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, after a sudden illness. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, Turner Chapel West, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Saturday. Burial: Fairview Cemetery, Earlville. The Rev. Glenn Bender of First Congregational Church will officiate.

Survivors include two sons, Wilbur Young of Cedar Rapids and La Verne Ingles of Woodward; a sister, Lois Dietrich of Detroit, Mich.; two brothers, Lynn Hunt of Earlville and Merle Hunt of Dubuque.

Also surviving are eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Leola was preceded in death by a son, Melvin Young; a sister, Grace Mitchell, and two brothers, Floyd and Cecil Hunt.

Leola was born May 14, 1910, in Earlville. She worked for St. Luke's in housekeeping and as a nurse's aid at Mercy Hospital. She was a member of First Congregational Church and the church's Plymouth Circle. Leola enjoyed sewing and was a seamstress for many years.

A memorial fund has been established for First Congregational Church.
