Ray J. Salow,63, died Thursday, Sept. 7, 1995, in Delaware County Memorial Hospital, Manchester, after a sudden illness. Services: 2 p.m. Monday, Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial: Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at Clifton Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Betty; his mother, Nellie of Earlville; a son, Michael and wife Paula of Urbana; four daughters, Kathy Boots and husband Robert of Monticello, Betsy Hawker and husband Greg of Manchester, Lisa Coates and husband David of Biloxi, Miss., and Lori Kluesner and husband Dan of Delaware; 11 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and seven brothers, William and wife Audrey of Independence, Don and wife Irene of Manchester, Clarence and wife Phyllis, Loren, and David and wife Rose Mary, all of Earlville, Gary and wife Lavonne of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Richard and wife Pat of Greeley.

He was preceded in death by his father; a daughter, Jeanne, in 1965; a sister, Marion Young; and three brothers, Harold, Walter and Clyde.

Born June 27, 1932, in Earlville, son of Raymond C. and Nellie B. Hunt Salow, he graduated from Earlville High School in 1950. On Sept. 16, 1953, he married Betty L. Grigg at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Earlville. He worked as a welding technician at John Deere Dubuque Tractor Works for 27 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Earlville Community Club. He loved nature and was an avid fisherman.
