Earlville, Ia. - Word has been received here by Mrs. Rose Klaus of the death of her brother, George Landis, 70,at Independence.

Services were Friday at Independence and burial was at Colesburg. Landis was a son of Abraham and Elizabeth Landis and in his youth was a resident of the Colesburg vicinity.

He is survived by his wife, the former Madge Bolsinger, of Colesburg; two daughters, Virginia and Gail; five sisters, Mrs. Klaus, of Earlville, Mrs. Belle Shaffer, Mrs. J.R. Grimes and Mrs. J.C. Bolsinger, all of Colesburg and Mrs. Wayne Kauffmann, of Cedar Rapids, and two brothers, Tom, of Fayette and Earl in California.
