Ronald C. Heller, 68, of Monticello, formerly of Newhall, died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005, in his home following a brief illness. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Interment: Hopkinton Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia; a son, Nathan (Abby Burns) of Cedar Rapids; four daughters, Nicole (Shaun Flanagan) and Nancy (Allen) Werner, both of Hopkinton, Barbara (Mark) Woods of Solon and Sharon Glubka of Coggon; nine grandchildren, April, Andrew and Amanda Werner, Kyle, Connor and Cullen Woods, Zachariah, Jeremiah and Mariah Glubka; a sister, Karole (Michael) Meese of Marion; three brothers, Roger (Velda) Heller of Waverly, Mervin Heller of Odessa, Texas, and Michael (Olga) Heller of Daytona Beach, Fla.; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William.

Ronald Cleo Heller was born June 28, 1937, in Storm Lake, Iowa, the son of Cleo and Hulda Mack Heller. Ron graduated from the Fonda High School with the class of 1956. He moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he was employed by Weyerhaeuser, Iowa Steel and Iron and later at P&H.

Ron C. Heller and Patricia Peck Yonkovic were married Oct. 26, 1968, in Anamosa, Iowa. The couple made their home in Hopkinton until 1978 when they moved to Newhall. In 1985, he went to work at Cryovac. He retired in 1998. The couple moved to Monticello in July 2005.

Ron enjoyed fishing, camping, vacationing and spending time with his grandchildren and family. He also liked to remodel homes, play cards and work puzzles as well as visit with anyone.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
