HOPKINTON, Iowa - Kenneth "Kenny" Becker, 75, died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, surrounded by his family at Good Neighbor Home, Manchester, following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Hopkinton, where friends may call from 3 until 8 p.m. today. The Rev. John Kremer will officiate at the services. A parish vigil service will be held at 3 p.m., and a Knights of Columbus Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, is in charge of the arrangements.

Surviving is his wife, Catherine "Kay;" three children, Rick (Brenda) Becker and Ron (Kris) Becker, both of Manchester, Machelle Becker, of Waterloo; six grandchildren, Nick, Morgan, Rachel, Sienna, Blake Becker, and Laveya Kerr; two brothers, Vernon Becker, of Hopkinton, and Gilbert (Helen) Becker, of Cedar Rapids; and four sisters, Therese (Vernon) Melchert, of Hopkinton, Ethel (Kenneth) Hosch, of Monticello, Janet (Raymond) Marbach, of Manchester, Virginia (William) Uhlenkamp, of Central City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister-in-law, Mae Becker; an infant brother, Vincent; and an infant sister, Rita.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dollars for Scholars.
