Caroline Fiedler,55, died early Saturday morning, Dec. 4, 1999, in Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, following an extended illness. Private family services: Monday, Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello. Interment: Hopkinton Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph; two sons, Mark (Shellie) Fiedler of Hopkinton and Ralph Fiedler of Cedar Falls; a grandson, Quinn Alan Fiedler; four sisters, Katie (Henry) Ehlts of Monticello, Betty (Jim) White of Cedar Rapids, Darlene Chapman of Hopkinton and Ruth (Loyd) Avis of State Center; four brothers, John (Brydena) Boysen of Monticello, Marvin (Alberta) Boysen of Marion and Roy (Cecelia) Boysen and Ronald (Lynda) Boysen, both of Mesa, Ariz.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a niece, Diane Brockhohn; and a brother-in-law, Merle Champan.

Caroline Christine Boysen was born March 31, 1944, in Monticello, the daughter of Julius and Henrietta Alvine Louise Osterkamp Boysen. She received her education in the Monticello Community Schools. Caroline married Ralph Fiedler on Aug. 5, 1967, at First Presbyterian Church, Monticello. The couple made their home in Hopkinton. Caroline was employed at the Coil Factory in Cascade for several years.

Caroline was devoted to her family and loved her husband, sons and grandson greatly.

She will be missed by her family and friends.
