DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Agnes L. Rausch, 93, of Dyersville, died Thursday, April 13, 2006, at Heritage Manor, Dubuque, following a brief illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with the Rev. Douglas Loecke officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary rosary recited at 4:15 p.m. and a parish scripture service at 5 p.m.

She was born on Jan. 28, 1913, in New Vienna, daughter of Joseph F. and Anna (Ploessel) Schwers. She married Leo John Rausch on Feb. 12, 1947, in New Vienna; he preceded her in death in 1983.

Throughout her years, Aggie worked at Glovers (Piekenbrock), Schaetzles in New Vienna, and Rausch's Tavern in Luxemburg.

She was a charter member of the VFW and Hospital Auxiliaries.

Surviving are two daughters-in-law, Marjean Rausch, of Dubuque, and Sandy (Darrell) Schueller, of Davenport; seven grandchildren, Scott (Tammy), Rick and Terry Rausch (sons of Patrick and Marjean), and Sonya, Zach, Tyler and Clayton (children of Dennis and Sandy); a brother, Alfred (Leota) Schwers, of Hiawatha; and many nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis, in 1994, and Patrick, in 1998; two brothers, Clarence and Julius Schwers; and two sisters, Armella Klaren and Dolores Klaren.

Memorials may be given to St. Francis Xavier Basilica.
