DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Clara F. Pins, 82, of Dyersville, died Thursday, Aug. 6, 1998, at Heritage Manor Care Center, Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with burial in church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a ACCW rosary at 4 p.m. and a scripture service at 7 p.m.

She was a housekeeper for Father Gibbs at Placid and Lisbon. She was also a certified nurse assistant and employed by the Mercy Health Center St. Joseph's Unit for 25 years until retirement.

She was born Jan. 30, 1916, in Worthington, daughter of John and Veronica (Ament) Pins.

Clara was a member of the ACCW, Resurrection Choir, and St. Mary's Hospital Auxiliary.

Surviving are a sister; Mary Goedken of Monticello; three brothers, Vince (Clara) Pins, of Cedar Rapids, George (Shirley) Pins, and Cy (Doris) Pins, both of Dyersville; four sisters-in-law, Eileen Pins and Lorraine Pins, both of Dyersville, Ethel Pins, of Earlville, and Eldora Pins, of Manchester.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Sister Mary Ernest, OSF, and Therese Pins; and seven brothers, Bert, James, Mark, Louis, Jerome, Paul and Anthony "Tony" Pins.
