DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Diane M. Nesler, 59, of Dyersville, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001, at Stonehill Care Center, Dubuque, after a long illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with the Rev. Ed Petty officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 4 p.m.

She was born on April 9, 1941, daughter of Gilbert and Margaret (Bahning) Nesler.

She attended grade and high school in Dyersville. She received a bachelor of arts degree from Briar Cliff College, Sioux City, and received a master of arts degree from Creighton University, Omaha, Neb.

She taught junior and senior English at Holy Ghost in Dubuque and Granville, at Heelan High School in Sioux City and in Wahoo, Neb.

Surviving are her parents; Gilbert and Margaret Nesler, of Dyersville; two brothers, Dennis (Andrea) Nesler, of Brookfield, Conn., and Fred (Janell) Nesler, of Omaha; a sister, Suzanne (Emmett) Lampkin, of Iowa City; and six nieces and four nephews, who were her special joy.

Memorials may be given to Stonehill Care Center, Dubuque.
