Gloria Ann Clemen was born to Clifford and LaVerne (Beecher) Nelson at Manchester, Iowa on December 2, 1943. She received her education through the 12th grade at Manchester, Iowa.
On February 28, 1970 she married Charles Clemen at Delhi, Iowa and to this union one son, Clinton was born. In addition to her homemaker responsibilities she operated a bait shop out of her home and sold Avon and Watkins products.
In recent months Gloria has been battling cancer. On Sunday, August 22, 2004 she died at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was 60 years of age.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Manchester and St. Joseph Catholic Church at Milford. She was a member of the Eagles Club in Manchester for 24 years and a member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Gloria lived her life for her family and friends. She always had time for others needs. She was a skillful seamstress and talented at crochet. She made many tablecloths and doilies of intricate design. She served as a mediator in family discussions and always seemed to know what was best for all.
She is survived by her mother, LaVerne Nelson of Milford, IA, son, Clinton Clemen and his wife, Sandy of Milford, IA, two stepsons, Larry and Raymond Clemen, four brothers, Clay Willie of Milford, Cliff Nelson and his wife, Carolyn of Urbandale, IA, John Krager and his wife, Sue of Manchester, IA and Denny Nelson and his wife, Danelle of Lake Park, IA; grandchildren, Heather, Angela, Jody and Chad Wuebker, Brian and Melanie Clemen, Tanya Kenny, one great granddaughter, Savana Wuebker, many nieces and nephews, especially, Chad Nelson and his wife, Stacie of Manchester, IA, and Matt Nelson of Spencer and Annette (Nelson) Foutch and her husband, Tim of Johnston, IA and long time family friend, Bob Mangold of Milford, IA.
Gloria was preceded in death by her, father, Clifford Nelson, grandparents, Frank and Anna Beecher, Oscar and Daisy Nelson.
