-The oldest man in the state of Iowa is Christian Coonrad, who was born in Pennsylvania, Sept. 22, 1780. He is living on his farm in Delaware Co., six miles from Dubuque. He is the father of 11 children, all still living, ages range from 30 to 58 years. He has 42 grandchildren, and 34 great-grand-children.
