I am looking to connect my William Dillon with his proper parents and

ancestors. William Dillon was born in Ohio in 1822. In the 1850 Monroe

County, Green Township Ohio, William was shown with his wife Elizabeth

(?) and three sons: Abraham age 6, Henry Age 4 and John age 3.

In the mid 1850s the William Dillon family moved to Decatur County, IA

where they farmed for many years. Two of the sons, (Abraham Dillon and

Henry Dillon) married Galpin sisters (Jane Galpin and Emmaline

Galpin.). The Ebenezer Galpin farm was located near the Dillon Farm.

Abraham raised his family in Decatur County and he is buried there.

Henry Dillon and his wife Emmaline (Galpin) Dillon moved to Caldwell

County, MO about 1880.

I am looking to connect the William Dillon with his proper ancestors.

Perhaps his obituary might tell of his background. He most likely died

in Decatur County about 1875. Thank you for your help.
