my grandfathers birth certificate

I received my grandfathers birth certificate in the mail today from the Decatur county recorder. I was curious to know why it says that his parents were Bert H. Noftsger and Kate Craft but when I look it up the sites say that his parents names were Bird Henry Noftsger and Catherine Marie Craft. Why did they have different names on his birth certificate?
