Hello list,
There are many entries on the list about
the Sears family of Decatur
County. Are there any Sears descendants out
there who read this list?
The family seems to be one of the early ones
in the county. My father,
Sylvan Petticord, was born in 1907. When he
was 12 or 13 (1919-1920),
he got a job on what everyone always called
the "Sears' place", probably
as a farm hand. I'm wondering if anyone out
there might know which
branch of the Sears family this was. Dad's
family lived around Garden
Grove/Franklin . Thanks in advance for any
