Hello

We are looking for any information that might be had on W.L. MINTON. The 1880 census of Decatur county, Iowa says that he was 51 and born in Va. Also says he was a Physician.

I am connected to him through a marriage to Phoebe BRAY. We learned of this marriage on a land document of Allamakee county,Iowa dated 1873. In the 1870 census of Allamakee county,Iowa lists ....William(age 41 born Va.)and Phoebe(age 39 born N.Y.) They have 5 children... Ellen(age 24, born Ill.), Martha(age 15, born Iowa), Edna(age 11, born Iowa),Ida (age 7, born Iowa) and Rosa(age 11/12, born Iowa)

William and Phoebe were last found in Decatur county in 1885.

I have Phoebe in Ill. in 1850 with her father and single so I have to think that Ellen is the result of a previous marriage of William. The rest of Phoebe's Brays remainded in Allamakee.

Any help here would be most appreciated.
